Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Yippee. By using Yippee, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

Yippee is a planning tool that lets users create Functions, share invite codes or links, collect RSVPs, compare availability, post comments, and manage event details. Yippee is not an emergency service, safety service, payment processor, transportation provider, venue, or event operator.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Yippee. If you use Yippee on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on that organization’s behalf.

3. Accounts

You may create an account using email and password or Google sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

4. Guest access

Some Functions may allow guest access without an account. Guests may be asked to provide a name and phone number to help identify their RSVP and availability. Guests are responsible for using invite codes appropriately and only accessing Functions they were invited to join.

5. Host responsibilities

Hosts are responsible for the Functions they create, including titles, descriptions, locations, dates, comments, guest management, and any instructions shared with participants. Hosts must not use Yippee to create misleading, unlawful, abusive, unsafe, or unauthorized events.

6. User content

You retain any rights you have in content you submit to Yippee. By submitting content, you grant Yippee a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, display, reproduce, and process that content solely to operate, secure, and improve the service. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit the content and that your content does not violate these Terms or the rights of others.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use Yippee for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, harassing, or abusive purposes;
• post content that is hateful, threatening, defamatory, invasive of privacy, sexually exploitative, or otherwise harmful;
• attempt to access Functions, accounts, systems, or data without authorization;
• interfere with or disrupt the service;
• reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or misuse the service;
• upload malware or attempt to compromise security;
• use Yippee to collect personal information from others without permission.

8. Function changes, cancellation, and deletion

Hosts may edit Function details, set a final date, close or reopen RSVPs, remove participants, cancel a Function, restore a canceled Function, or delete a Function. Participants are responsible for checking the Function page for updates before relying on any plan.

9. Third-party services

Yippee may rely on third-party services including Firebase, Google sign-in, website hosting providers, calendar links, and other tools. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies. Yippee is not responsible for third-party services that it does not control.

10. Fees

Yippee is currently provided without paid subscription features. If paid plans, subscriptions, or other charges are introduced, additional payment terms will be provided before you are charged.

11. Availability and changes

Yippee may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at all times.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Yippee if you violate these Terms, create risk for the service or others, or use the service in a way that may cause harm or legal liability. You may stop using Yippee at any time.

13. Disclaimers

Yippee is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yippee and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, service interruption, or event-related losses. Yippee’s total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid to Yippee in the 12 months before the claim.

15. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Yippee and its operators from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the service, your content, your Functions, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Venue for disputes will be in the state or federal courts located in California, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice. Continued use of Yippee after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
